The Wrong Box is a humorous story based on a Tontine, which was an investment, made on the behalf of young people, into a private fund that grew in value over the years. The total of the investment is promised to the last living survivor. With only two subscribers left, who happened to be brothers who didn't get along, the comedy begins with a greedy nephew in a failing leather business and a fun-loving lawyer. A train crash causes a series of comical events that include a dead body, an antique statue, misdirected freight, forgery, deception and confusion.
