    I just looked it up in the Library of Congress and not one copy they held lists it as 813. Perhaps the copy you have is an American re-telling of an English translation of the original French version. The LC has a copy listed as 863 (Spanish fiction) because it is an English translation of a Spanish translation of the original French. Most LC copies are listed as 843, French fiction. Hope this helps answer your question.
