“Ann Roth is living the life. She's followed her dream, living in Hollywood, writing for Famous, taking pride in her methods as a responsible entertainment journalist. Until her boss gave her an ultimatum: Get the "big get" interview with top hottie and known reclusive Malcolm Goddard, or get lost. Against her better judgement, and her nature, Ann decides to pull out all stops to save her dream. Unfortunately, the best laid plans...yadda yadda yadda. Jane Heller has woven a light-hearted tale of dreams and whimsy in Some Nerve.Ann, though a bit overloaded with phobias, is a fun character, and what we see of Malcolm, he's interesting, too. I would have liked to see more of him! The ensemble cast supports and adds to the fast-moving plot. Great vacation read!
