OK; there's a lot of stretching here, to be sure, all in the name of that warhorse known as the 'willing suspension of disbelief' but how fun it is in the end! Wouldn't you love a monster you'd created to be that verbal, that sensitive?

A great classic. Better than I expected (since my mind was polluted with all the Frankenstein movies I had seen over the years). A creepy, surreal, haunting story. I just found it a little hard to read due to the language that was used at the time but I am glad I read it.

This is one of my favorite books. It is beautifully written, brilliantly constructed and asks a lot of philosophical questions of science which are still relevant today. I need to read it again!!!!
