“I never thought I would like this book. I wanted to read more books from the Easton Press list of 100 Greatest Books. This was on the list and in my library, so I started reading it. I am only about half way through it and have been reading it a little each day and then contemplating on what I read. I usually gobble up books and finish one a day. This one is like a fine drink that is sipped slowly and savored.”
“The only piece of classic Russian lit that I've actually enjoyed.”
“I found it hard to read because all the characters are shits so there was no empathy to make the book interesting. In comparison The Idiot is a much more satisfying read. Brothers Karamzov another hard slog.”
