Yes | No“I connected myself to "Life Is Funny" because through out this book theres trouble teens who went through most of the things that i go through . I never thought that most people that i know or dont know but read about could go through these things. I feel that not a baby, a child,a an adult, or a teen should go through these. I also connected myself to theses book because i find life very funny, honestly i wake up every morning and laugh at the life im living to hide what i feel inside. i use to blame life for what happened to me, i use to think that if my mom never would have had me, that would have never happened to me, never would have felt the way i feel, never would have left me with theses horrible memory that haunts me everytime i wake up and everytime i dream. but this here book opened my eyes, it helped me see that theress people who go through the same things i do, and they occupied there self, and they laugh at the things that hurt them the most. ”

Mature read.”
“Some stories were engrossing and good but others were just okay, not too good. It was a lot more explicit than it seems lik. Sheesh, the Keisha/Gingerbread sex scence seemed like ti was taken out of an erotica book!!!! ”

This book takes on the lives of a group of students who are all somehow related to each other. I liked certain characters better than others. I really liked the story of the boy who's dad would beat his mom. I found this story to be rather realistic because it dealt with certain things that can occur in real life for example how his mom would never say anything about the domestic violence. I did not like the story of the pregnant girl who fell in love with the guy from the clinic. I felt like slapping her across the book simply because she was so mean and nasty. Some sections of the book are not for young children because there are a lot of sexual references in the story.”

It is sexually explicit, uses strong language, and includes young characters who experiment with drugs, sex, and self-mutilation.
