- Sarat Chandra Chatterjee (Author) - Author. This name is the same as Sharat Chandra Chattopaadhyaay, or Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay. Since the Roman script is inadequate to express sounds from most languages of India and Chatterjee is short for Chattopaadhyaay, the two names are same, and in fact are of the same person, author of Devdas and many many more writings.
