The basic summary of The Catcher in the Rye is, a young man that gets expelled from his boarding school goes on a journey after he gets expelled meeting with lots of people that were from his past. During most of the journey that he experienced, he went through lots of depression and lots of negitively vibed stuff. This book is probably one of the best books ever written. The book seemed to connect to me on more of a personal level, instead of many books that you can't relate to as much. One of the best things about this book is that the author: J.D. Salinger, isn't afraid to use words that to some people that would be considered inappropriate, he doesn't edit his thoughts he puts what he thinks is right and throws it on the paper. This is a great book you should check it out.
