This is the single best companion, along with a dictionary, for any writer. This has just about everything you need to know in a handy little volume. A true must-have for anyone who will write anything from an essay to a poem to a novel.

If you write, you need this book. Let Strunk & White keep you from sounding like an idiot, even if you don't know (or particularly care to know) grammar.

This is an outstanding book for aspiring writers, accomplished writers, bloggers, and anyone who uses the English language. It's short, simple, straightforward and full of painful truths. After reading it through once, my plan now is to print out some of my written works and go through them slowly, highlighting every time I break a rule or violate a teaching from this book. Everyone should do the same!

This book was recommended to me a few years back and I can honestly say it is a must-have book that any aspiring author should have in their library, and it should be referred to on a frequent basis. It is short, sweet and to the point, with all the basic elements of writing explained in layman's terms.
