Parts of the book are so BRILLIANTLY written. Other parts seem like it has been written by someone trying hard to match up. I did not like the ending... it was just too sad. But such a topical subject, where there are no rights and wrongs. There are cliches galore, but the bottomline is that few can right as beautifully and as movingly as Jodi Picoult. Somewhere at the back of my mind, I thought there was an echo of Ann Patchett. Probably both the writers seem to have such a grip at analysing emotions, and at the same time, have the same difficulty drawing conclusions. Wish I could write so.
