  “A look at the lives of Samuel Johnson and Richard Savage and the nature of their friendhsip. Unsurprisingly it looks far more closely at this particular relationship than the usual Johnson biography.
  
  An enjoyable read, but I wouldn't recommend it as someone's first book about Johnson.”
