“That is a shame - but isn't it interesting how a separate but bad experience can taint non-related "events" ! Anyway, I found the book a good read, if sometimes too wordy. But being from Chicago it had a native attraction for me anyway. And can I admit I had never heard about the white city prior to this book? When I went to the Field museum, Planatarium, the lake shore, I never knew what a compelling and historic piece of history occured in these grounds!”
