I had to read this book as assignment in high school biology class. It's one of the creepiest books I've read and it's not even a horror book. It's a great mix of science and psychology and will keep your heart racing.

The plot was gripping, that was certain, but the conversations felt just a bit too artificial for my taste.

An ambitious doctor uses an unproven experiment to enhance the ovum implanted into his wife. When the child is born it’s plain to see that the child is abnormal.

It lacks the charm that characterize a Robin Cook book. Its quite stupid because even before you read the first half, you know the plot!
