I read this thinking it would help with organizing myself and improving my efficientcy at work. I recommend it. It turned out the book is much broader in scope, and it might just change your llife.

This book taught me to take responsibility for my actions (and life).

The biggest trick with this book is, the people who are likely to actually implement the seven habits very likely already have them, or something close. For such people, this book can provide a good tune-up. But the average, content, easy-going person (me) is not going to come away with a lot.

Here's what I remember from this book (I read it about seven years ago): 1) sharpen the saw (take care of yourself, or your not worth anything to anyone else); 2) look for win-win-or-no-deal solutions; 3) learn to understand to place tasks appropriately on two continua; a) urgent / not urgent, b) important / not important (most importantly, realize that everything that is urgent is not really important, and everything that's important may not be urgent).

Now, if you're that certain kind of person, go read this book. Otherwise, on with life.
