It gave me the fundamentals of all kinds of relationships: with your family, your friends, in business. Helped to sort out my thoughts. I think it's very practice-oriented and truthful.

The biggest trick with this book is, the people who are likely to actually implement the seven habits very likely already have them, or something close. For such people, this book can provide a good tune-up. But the average, content, easy-going person (me) is not going to come away with a lot.

Here's what I remember from this book (I read it about seven years ago): 1) sharpen the saw (take care of yourself, or your not worth anything to anyone else); 2) look for win-win-or-no-deal solutions; 3) learn to understand to place tasks appropriately on two continua; a) urgent / not urgent, b) important / not important (most importantly, realize that everything that is urgent is not really important, and everything that's important may not be urgent).

Now, if you're that certain kind of person, go read this book. Otherwise, on with life.

No words are enough to describe the power that lies within the pages of this book. Calling it a book is a gross error. It is a goldmine. If you are going through a change phase in your life, or even otherwise if you wish to make a difference to your life, do read this book. It's an ongoing project for me. No matter how many times I might read it, every time I come away with something new and something I might have overlooked during my last read. A must-read.

This book is truly a breakthrough! Life changing. Attending the 7H signature workshop, then reading the book helped crystallize the principles stated in the book. The book cannot compete with the experience of undergoing the 3-day program, but it's a good start for people who are set on changing themselves and their circumstances.

I have actually read this book once already! I am reading it again as an assignment for Mr. Sparks and the Leadership Academy. I have also read several of Stephen Covey's other books. He is a wise man!
