“Can my 13 year old (who loves fashion and the movie) read this? I don't know if it has mature themes that were not in the movie. The movie was fine for her age group. ”
“I was reading a bio about Anna Wintour called 'the cool and hot times of ..something something..editor of vogue' by Jerry Openheimer. (sp?) Well to me it seems. the real life Anna Wintour isn't really a devil - she's just very driven. And obssessed. And insecure. But that's fashion. I mean hats off to her - all I can say is I wouldn't want to work for her, but then fashion's not my thing. It's a bit silly that a budding journalist accepts a job on a fashion rag - I mean..she must have been desperate for work. 'Fashion Babylon' is a better read if you want to learn about the inside of fashion - from designer POV. Also 'Celebutantes' (stylists) and 'The fashion conspiracy' about the global fashion industry.”
“I started this book (up to about the 2nd chapter) and it was kind of good! should i keep reading it!??”
“I loved the book!!!”
“How is this book? I've heard it's better than the movie. Should i read it?”
“i saw the movie never herd of the book”
“I plan to read this book because my sister said it was good and i like the movie!”
“The book is waaayyyy better then the movie. A bit mindless, but entertaining. I wish the movie had the same ending as the book. Seeing Hathaway do that would have made the movie a lot better.”
“yeah...the book just is..BORING. Whiny and full of self-pity.I think they made Andy learn a lesson in the movie because she was so clueless in the book.”
