The Time Traveler's Wife

by Audrey Niffenegger

A dazzling novel in the most untraditional fashion, this is the remarkable story of Henry DeTamble, a dashing, adventuresome librarian who travels involuntarily through time, and Clare Abshire, an artist whose life takes a natural sequential course. Recommend some stuff, let people know about new authors, help people find some good books to read.

I want to try to help people (including myself) find some lesser known, obscure, new, or under appreciated authors. I have nothing against Heinlein, Dick, Asimov, Gibson, etc... but let's take Grandmasters and Best-Sellers as a given. You could fill 20 pages full of the big names and that wouldn't point the way to new books. Let's do what SciFi is meant to do and explore some new frontiers... oh man, that makes me sound like I should own a closet full one piece jumpsuits.

A.B.C. alleged book club 13 books / 40 members / 18 posts The A.B.C. was created in the year 2005 by a group of UC Berkeley students. After dying down for a few months, it came back to life with a vengeance. A new name, new members, and a new vision brings the A.B.C. to its current international magnificence.

You will probably find this club most attractive if you love to read, love to read along with a group, love to read but need a little motivation, love to read and then talk about what u've read, or if u just want to increase your 'cool-factor' by being part of an international bookclub with your college/post-college aged peers.
