I have read this book twice. It is one of those books that appears in pop-culture over and over again. It is a great commentary on racism and the curiousity of children.

This is a classic story of a child growing up in the South, with essential questions about justice, fairness, and one's place in a community.

One of the first books I ever loved, but still remains a favorite type...with a child narrator.

This is an AMAZING novel! I remember reading this in the 6th grade and going to the book store asking for another book by Harper Lee. I was so upset when I learned that she has only written the one novel!

To killing a mockingbird was a great story centered around the tale of a black man raping a white woman. Her father is a widow laywer who has to defend the man in court. In this sleepy southern town, the main character gets in to many acts with her friend. She finds a tree that someone keeps putting gifts in which she has to see who does it. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a classic tale set in the south. This book was really good as the character development was good and the tale was proud.

It's a bit racist, but has a really good story.
