This book is the literary equivalent of a fawn happened upon in a woodland glen…just mention it, and people’s eyes well up and they speak in hushed, awed tones. It has become so beloved that any criticism of it is a bit like taking a club and pounding said fawn on the head, so I won’t mention...

At first, the vocabulary used was a bit confusing. But I got into it. It's interesting.

If you only read one book in your entire life, it should be To Kill a Mockingbird. It's a how-to for how to live your life. And Atticus Finch is the greatest father of all time.

This book was a little dense, and a tiny bit boring at some parts. But it's a really amazing story. You'll laugh, cry, punch things...I fell in love with all the characters, especially Scout!

Along with Looking For Alaska, this is one of my personal favorites, In this book, the common theme is growing up and coping with racism. Jem and Scout are one of the most strong characters I have ever read about, their perseverance really made this book the classic it is today. Harper Lee has done a great job on showing the people of the world, what Maycomb, Alabama was in the 1930's. Job well done!

An amazing book. I read it once when I was about 12 and didn't really get it and didn't like it much. Then I was assigned to read it for school in 10th grade and just became engrossed with it. One of the best books I have ever read.
