“Very helpful and practical... though not exactly a page turner... a bit basic in places. I'm sure he gets paid a lot of money helping people organise their desks/lives!”

In fact, I love to listen to his audio version every 6 months or so, just to keep my system well-oiled. . . uggghh, I think I might be obsessed with GTD. But alas, there are many of us out there. I am in love with working and living with GTD. . . and so thankful this book is out there. I went from a state of what might be described as "chronic panic" to simple peace with the challenges of life. Thank you, David Allen!!! ”

Having dealt with my dad's hand me down "A-B-C" Covey-esque style list making and failed miserably, Getting Things Done was a welcome and fresh change. It helped me get through a particularly tough few years (and tough boss) early in my career. Getting Things Done should be required reading for every college freshman.”

I've tried twice now, and something about it just doesn't get me all the way through it. Maybe I'm just too much of a Covey-ite. I did use *some* of his principles to develop a to-do list in a spreadsheet, with multiple tabs for the various roles or projects. I'm still not good about working all of the lists, but I do have them.”

A must read for anyone wanting a system to help organize and structure their daily, weekly, and monthly activities regardless of what those activities are. Allen's principles are timeless and work regardless of your line of work. You can apply these principles regardless of whether you are a business owner, employee, student, pastor, volunteer, or whatever. You need to hear or read this book.”

In preparing for a major trip last year, it really helped me to feel more in control and get organized. Upon coming home, I tried to implement it in a larger aspect of my life but in some ways it just wouldn't work for me (it takes a level of maintenance that I can't keep up) but I still follow a lot of the concepts.
It is well worth reading, one of those ones to read once and then refer to occasionally to remind yourself of the good ideas you've forgotten and perhaps use some new ones that didn't apply the last time you read it.”
“Read it again and again. There are suggestions in here that I use, though I have not adopted the whole system. The whole system seemed overwhelming. A little at a time, I figure, is better than nothing. ”

I'm not stress free yet, but i've got a hellvalot of clutter in my home! I've applied it pretty well at work, and I think about it a lot in applying to my home life. It has great methods in it. ”
