An excellent look at the rise of a Philadelphia drug dealer. Larry was a compelling figure to read about with a strangely normal (yet warped) American mindset. Hard work, stubbornness and plain old luck made him a huge drug lord. Bowden is so good at making history read like fiction.

It seemed like a poor version of an adapted screenplay of American Gangster
