This was an excellent book - finished in 5 days! Malcolm Gladwell craftily uses everday experiences and research to support and explain how people think and situations that can influence choices. Although I did not read The Tipping Point, I will be picking it up shortly.

Did you ever smell something and then try to describe the smell? You sniff and sniff and suddenly you can't smell anything at all. It's like you wore out your nose.
I think this is what our unconcious is like. It only works if we ignore it.

This book is amazing. It gives scientific evidence for all the judgements we make. It's a blur, really, after reading the whole thing. But I know I'll have better insights in my writing life. It would be a fabulous reference book.
