  7. TheW4nted

TheW4nted edited the themes of Water for Elephants Tuesday, February 1, 2011.

    • Removed a theme: Rosie: Rosie is literally the elephant in the room, but she also embodied the figurative elephant in the room — the works and performers' feelings toward August. He was hard on her when she didn't do what he wanted, just like he was toward the rest of the crew, but with Rosie he let himself lash out more than he would allow himself to at the other performers. Because she was an animal, she had her natural instincts and could react based on those alone instead of holding back due to circumstances like the performers would.
