Millionaire Andrew Trevayne, former secretary of state, takes up an investigation at the request of the president to investigate a "secret government". Mafia and billionaires conspire - Congress and even the presidency can be bought and sold - and Trevayne is in the middle with his investigation. Great read.

I must be too young. This book was easily the least enjoyable of all Ludlum's works that I have read. I understand the topic was super relevant for when it was written but it just didn't hold my interest like his other books.

Ludlum's second best amongst those I've read. A political thriller.

The book can really tell you what goes on inside the White House. It's a good read. I enjoyed reading it. It's good to read Robert Ludlum outside the Bourne series.
