I love Amish romances and realize they are best when not so dramatic but rather copying the stoicism of the Amish, but this one fell a little flat for me particularly where the romance was concerned. The sweetness of gifts to a widow and her children made for a classic and tender Christmas message and I enjoyed and even looked forward to each gift package.
