“I loved this book! It was so funny! The heroine was just sooo naive it was hilarious! God, but the Harlequin Presents authors are priceless! I don't know why I still read them, because nearly EVERYTHING is UNBELIEVABLE! The heroine lived in the country, but even in the country people know how men-women relationships work! When he says he wants HER in exchange of not prosecuting her dad, she is puzzled and says naively: "But that's morally wrong!". The highly sexual alpha male sum up the situation as he sees it: " We're consenting adults and you have a choice". In other words, it's legal, so it's moral! But the pure country girl does not get it. She says she feels insulted. But the arrogant and gorgeous hero just says: "One woman insult is another woman's compliment" and that "... a score of women would kill to have the same opportunity". Sooo arrogant. Only in Harlequin Presents do you see men trying to attract bees with vinegar!!! He antagonises the heroine so much that she hates him and he wonders why she does not fall at his feet!!! They are all priceless: the authors, the heroes. But that's what I like about harlequin Presents, everything is in excess: the love, the lust, the gorgeousness of men, their wealth, their arrogance, their stamina, their bad-boy side, the purity of the heroine, EVERYTHING! ”
