i didnt enjoy this book............something more should have been said, something more should have been done. The father/doctor ruined their lives with his shelfish act or was it that he couldnt stand the tought of raisng a child that was not "perfect" in his eyes

Maybe it's one of those titles that just can't live up to it's expectations. I kept hearing how great this book was, but it fell short on a lot of points for me: characters, writing style and the ending. It felt like Edwards had dug herself into a hole by the middle of the book. The writing felt too "soap opera" to me.
