I really like how the book is told in 1st person point of view, because it really helps to understand what Lily is going through.   “I had to read this book for my english class and thought that it was very good and well written. One of the things my teacher said though, is that some book are banning this book. It also said that some black parents are uncomfortable with having their teenagers read this book in schools. Could someone please shed some light on this subject for me? I don't get why people would ban this book.”
