Hello, my name is Lirpa, and I am a Bibliophile. I love books, everything about them. I love the feel and smell of books. And I love reading books. I love getting lost in a good book. I love it when the lines between my reality and what is happening in the book get fuzzy.

My favorite job I ever had was also the worst paying job I ever had. Working in a bookstore, helping people find the perfect book for them. Surrounded by stacks of books everywhere. Immersed in literature, literally.

Unfortunately, I will never be able to read all the books that I buy. Here's what happens. I go to a bookstore, and I find many books I want to read. I buy them. I read one or two of them and then one day I find myself in a bookstore again. I find more books I want to read. I buy them. I read one or two of them and then I find myself in a bookstore again... You see the problem?

Another problem. I tend to read several books at once. Right now I'm in the middle of five. I try to not read more than one book of the same genre at a time though, because then it really gets confusing.

I love just about all genres of books. I try to stay away from so called historical fiction (you know, the sappy romance novels that pass themselves off as historical fiction) and also romance novels in general. However, even in these categories, I have made exceptions. « less
