    Shih Tzus are precious & really sweet. Did your ex-sister-in-law show the trick of scratching a new puppy's face & making them yawn? And how would the girls have dealt w/ a canine sibling?

    Good morning, Becca! I haven't had a chance to read everything in BF2 about your trip to your brother's, but I hope everything went well. I've been so busy here; a grandchild's b-day; my mom has "new" back problems; spring cleaning... Boring stuff...

    The young lady is my great-niece, Emily. She's dressed in her princess finery that I (of course) gave when she was visiting here a few weeks ago. My niece told me in the email that came w/ the picture I'd created a "monster." Emily insists on playing dress-up all of the time now! I'm so proud!!

    Of course, I'm still hoping to meet you & Clark!!!! We'll be here til June 22 & then we leave for Germany. (I gave in & renewed my passport.) I'm confused why I wouldn't be speaking to you??

    The gardens are humming along...happy the rain has stopped & the sun is shining.

    Hoping you're well & happy.

    Hey there, it's great to here from you!! Your dinner sounds delish!!
    I have just been so stressed with work and the layoffs and if I will have a job for much longer. I have been in such a mood that I haven't been around much. I don't sleep and I cry alot. Brian is pulling his hair out at times. I have taken up walking to walk out some of the stress, which really helps.
    Still on for September? Brian wanted to know if we could meet in Sarasota since it was half way? Just let me know your thoughts. Sunday brunch on the 13? We will be heading over to Daytona for our Sunday check in.

    Hey Becca, I wouldn't have believed it, but I am more sore today than yesterday. I'm hobbling like a lil old woman today. Trying to carry my coffee & the paper out to the porch was more difficult than I'd have thought. Maybe I should look into getting one of those scooter chairs. LOL

    My goodness, I can't believe the insurance company isn't through w/ Clark's depositions!! Are you worried? It sounds like you're not going w/ him. You don't want to pop in & see everyone?

    Do you have anything planned for this weekend? Will (middle grandchild) has a ball game today that I'd like to go see. I'm a little bit concerned about trying to get up in the bleachers though. I may just have to sit on the bottom row & wave to everyone else who always like to sit on top. Of course, if Noah is on top, then wild horses couldn't stop me from dragging my achy body up there. =) Am I a terrible grandma for feeling favoritism?!

    We get an estimate next week about the new air unit. I'm not looking forward to it. Luckily, it's the unit for upstairs & I can stay nice & comfy downstairs, where our bedroom is.

    It's a good thing your kittys aren't here! I've seen so many lizards lately! I guess they're out & about due to the heat. Luke "sounds" so brave chasing after them. Silly boy...

    Oh, I'm so sorry you're still having to share a computer! Shall I send Clark an email telling him to give it up & go to an Internet cafe?!

    This has been a horrible day! Our air conditoner has died...completely. We get the estimate for the new one tomorrow. I have a huge lump in my tummy though. Even the repairman said we should go to the bank for a loan.

    Then, while walking into the grocery store afterwards, I tripped. Fell on my right side. My knee is swollen, my hands are scraped & bruises on my side.

    DHs tiller is broken. Of course, this happens on the day I bought all of my veggies to plant. I shall have to till my raised bed by hand now. Lovely.

    Life is not happy here right now. DH leaves tomorrow for a weekend in the woods w/ his buddies. I'm thrilled & can't get him out of here soon enough. He comes back on Sun. only to leave on Mon. for the rest of the week. I'm thinking of asking him to stay gone for longer.

    Hey Becca! How are you today? Our weekend was great. I had such a great time w/ my niece & her daughter, Emily. Emily is a precocious 18 month old w/ a mind of her own & the will of a determined toddler. I gave Emily her birthday gift (even though her birthday is in Sept., I wanted to see her open it.) & her reaction was so cute!! I'd been collecting dress-up clothes & accessories for months, so there was quite a little stash! She was plopping big hats onto her head & cooing & making her father put on bumblebee headbands & princess tiaras. So cute!!!

    Is your saintly patience still being tested? You deserve some praise, no doubt about it!!

    Oh, I'm so jealous of your magnolia tree!!! I want one, too. My garden is doing so well this year!! It's almost where I envisioned it when I started 3 years ago. The rose bushes are beginning to bloom & the phlox is getting ready to. The funny thing is I have a plant that came up in the front yard that I have no idea what it is...I thought I had planted something else there, but this doesn't look like it's supposed to! LOL I hope it blooms soon so I can tell what it is. I think I will be thrown out of every gardening store if it turns out to be a weed!!

    We got a call from Noah this morning!! Jennifer said he kept bugging her that he wanted to speak w/ us. He told us he wants to come stay w/ us. If Jennifer hadn't told me he wasn't feeling very well, I would have been over there in a flash.

    My step-son was on the radio today & then was interviewed for America's Most Wanted!!! He's the detective in charge of an unsolved murder in Concord. I thought hubby would burst his buttons!! It was really cool. The show will be broadcast May 23.

    Yes, I'll be reminding you!
