I liked the story idea but didn't like all the extra characters left undeveloped. Loose ends left me unsatisfied. I couldn't wait to get back to the story, it captured my attention. Gave 4 stars as it was entertaining.

I enjoy Heather Graham's stories. This is book 2 in the series but is readable as a stand alone......but why would you want to miss all the chills? I stayed late into the night devouring this thriller. Keep them coming Heather Graham.

I love a good book! This murder mystery was dinner and dessert for the hungry reader. I was snatching bites of this story whenever I could grab a moment.

Karen Rose is a master at weaving psychological scares! I loved escaping away to her tale of thrilling, sexy, intrigue. I bumped all other books for hers at the time. The tale had me coming back for more whenever I had to leave it. Cannot wait for another page turner from her.

Psychological summer read. An upper class, bi racial couple who has family members in the spotlight is plunged into worry, then terror when two of their triplets are kidnapped. The emotions of the different family members flavor the story. Author weaves a suspenful tale, will look to be entertained by more of her stories.

This had everything, from love, mystery, plague, tension, witch hunts, God, religion, redemption........just one good, intriguing novel. Sad to turn the last page and keep hoping she might write a sequel about Anna and the childrens' lives as they start over, as well as those still in the community such as the Bradfords, Micheal, and Merry.
At times it was hard to read some of the story, but I may be a bit more sensitive right now than normally as I am pregnant, so some of the gore and the horrible birth scene of Anna's mother was hard to read for me.
There is much death and illness, but also birth and blessings as well. The ending left me really surprised, shaking my head in dismay.
    I definitely recommend this read.

  • Fashion Kitty and the B.O.Y.S.: (Ball of Yellow String)
    • Rated 4 stars

Gave the book 4 stars for my daughters. Pre teens need a book that speaks to them, entertains and enchants.....this does. The format, cartoon strip style catches even the most reluctant readers eye. Not only did it keep her attention as well as her younger sister (7) it inspired them to create their own graphic novels as the pictures are a favorite aspect of Fashon Kitty.
The message Fashion Kitty imparts is always honorable and true to self. In her fourth installment Fashion Kitty battles the forever ornery Leon Lambaster III. He devises schemes to capture Fashion Kitty as she helps those around her. In his plotting he gathers a gang to take Fashion Kitty down. Fashion Kitty keeps her wits about her, never lumping Lester, Leon's brother in the same category. Lester looks like Leon, Leon copies Lester's attempts to look different, Leon is mischievous, Lester is blamed. Fashion Kitty remains true to her friend Lester. Without giving too much away, Fashion Kitty and the B.O.Y.S. is a good choice for young readers.

Lisa Unger is one of my top fave authors, just love her writing. This was a good psych thriller. It is not my favorite of her stories but a good escape reading overall. Isabel Raine's husband disappears and as the story unfolds she begins to doubt and rethink their past memories together. Putting her life on the line to pursue Marcus (husband) as she is sure he is alive she eventually travels to Prague. I would have liked more of the story to take place in Prague~ it ended up being more of a topping, small but good part of the story. Left me wanting to know more of what Prague was like, good setting. Much action, suspense, and family ties. I would recommend.

I liked the writing, the characters but what happened with the end of the story.....there was no ending. Wasn't really even open ended, it left so many many questions it was more like an idea for a story. In a way I feel robbed of time~ I would have preferred to read a complete story, ending included. Won't rush out for any more of his novels anytime soon. Gave it 3 stars because the character development was good.

This book was ok, sometimes I could get really into it, sometimes the mom would kind of get on my nerves.
