I really needed to update my profile blurb as alot has changed since I first joined. Love this site, meeting fellow bookaholics, talking books and getting new ideas by visiting other's shelves. I've always wanted to sneak into people's houses and check out their book shelves--now I can do that legally!

A light, humorous read. I learned a few tidbits about chickens! This book is very short and didn't knock me out of the water or anything, but it was a pleasant story.

Amazing, twisted labyrinth of a book. I was completely immersed in this novel. I dare you to predict what happens!

Hilarious at times but also annoying at others. Ayun's personal accounts of her travels are light reading and good for a break from more intense stuff.

Typical Ann Rule. She is one of my favorite true crime writers but I am finding her later books not as well written or "intense" as her older stuff. But I am still a faithful reader and do enjoy her stuff even if it's formulaic.

Very fascinating book. The medical aspect combined with Gustine's story of being a "dress lodger" was extremely informative. I read it soon after The Crimson Petal and the White which was one of my favorite books EVER. So sadly it doesn't measure up to The Crimson but it was a hard act to follow! Jody

This book is why I read. It came highly recommended to me and I finally read it with some trepidation as I hate it when my expectations are too high. But this story blew me away. Read this book!! I promise you will immersed in the characters to such a degree that you will not even notice how long the book is.

Love this author, just love her! She has the best self deprecating sense of humor that I would read anything by her.

I was dying to read more of the character's lives after the unfulfilling ending of Faber's brilliant The Crimson Petal and the White. I just was expecting too much I think. The stories felt forced by the readers clamoring for more, rather than the author being true to The Crimson.

I love the premise of this book--saying "yes" and broadening your view point. However, I couldn't get past how full of herself this girl was. She seemed to be constantly flattering herself, her body, her intellect, etc.. If it weren't for her wit, I would have ditched this book. I don't recommend it.
