    I've still got four more volumes of Free Men and Dreamers to complete and I just submitted a family novel about a recently widowed women and her efforts to pick up the pieces without her husband. Something different...

    Everyone's fine. We're pretty excited because our daughter, a kidney transplant recipient, found out she's expecting! Very exciting!

    Hi Nancy! This is a pretty neat way to keep in touch! I am just figuring out all the ins and outs of blogs and reader websites. A person can get lost in here. . . . I spent about a month out there stomping around in all the Seagulls. The marketing on this book got bungled pretty bad so I'm plugging online. How is your family?

    anna left church early today and left me all by my lonesome...okay well syd was there...lauralee was too, but bestemore and bestefar were too, but still i was by myself. any way why weren't you there? i missed you and dad, dad was funny in sunday school. if this is stupid stuff to say then tell me and i'll shut up. well ima go.

    Hee hee I am SO excited that you'll be back in the land of the living! I have no friends Nancy and yes that is mostly my fault . Did you get my note about the Heber Creeper dressing up like Thomas this summer? Would your kids (besides Gunder-duh that's a no brainer) like to do that?

    I've read about 80% of them. When I lived Portland I didn't have friends for a long time, so I basically lived at Powell's bookstore and spent all of my money on used classic lit. I'm waiting for the first kid to move out and go to college so I can dedicate his/her bedroom to my library. YIPPEE!!
