I really love the idea of Shelfari. I've always wanted to build my own library which I'm starting to do (just check out the books I own) but not to my full potential.
I absolutely love reading there isn't a time in my life when I wasn't reading or being read to. Right now I'm really into Young Adult fiction even though I'm knocking 21. I think that teens today are so lucky because a decade ago today there were hardly any YA books found in the libraries and bookstores. Now there's a pretty big section and it keeps on growing.
Here are a few ways to better understand my bookshelf:
Books rated 1 or 2 Stars are books I: hated (in the case of 1 star ratings) or I wasn't impressed with the plot or story development (2 star ratings).
Books rated 3 stars are good but didn't leave that much of an impression. Some of these books are on my wish list. Most of them hold a bit of nostalgia in my case-- they're are the books that hold great memories but now aren't so impressive now that I'm older (an example is the Sweet Valley books)
Books rated 4 stars are great but I feel like I'm exaggerating if I gave them 5 stars and are books I want to own.
And 5 star ratings are books I'm really impressed with and can't wait to own.
For my BOOKS I'M READING NOW SHELF:
More than one book on that shelf equals library books
It's my way of keeping track of them without checking out my library card account.
My Bookshelf is made up of Book I've read through out my life. I'm always working on my bookshelves.
