Yes, I loved it. I am in awe of the author who put herself through all the pain just for love! I was glad to realize there are crazier people than myself!! Tch..Tch...

Hi bookchika. Finished reading the Enchantress of Florence. It is definitely good but I got a bit bored somewhere along the line.Over all it is certainly a very good read but I do not think it deserves to get the Booker of the Booker for the last fifty years. Have posted my review. The language is absolutely fascinating.

Thanks for your prompt reply. My problm is that if I really like a book then I read it so slowly that it takes ages to finish.Hoping to be enchanted by he 'Enchantress'.

I want to read Ines of My Soul too but should probably read My Invented Country first. I own Stories of Eva Luna but am holding off to read Eva Luna first. I read House of Spirits, Daughter of Fortune and Portrait in Sepia in completely the wrong order, not realizing they shared characters - don't want to make that mistake again.

Too bad your trip to Chile was cancelled. I would love to visit the country.

    Hi,
    Thanks for dropping by.
Considering that you liked One Hundred Years of Solitude, I'm sure you'll like LTC too. Just that I found it very heavy and took me a long time to finish. Do tell me how you like it.
    Happy Reading!
