I get stressed out thinking about all the books I want to read and I'm always wondering if I'll ever have enough time in my life to get to all of them..
Usually when I really love a book, I have so much to say about it that I find it difficult to even sum up. However, if I didn't like a book, its fairly easy for me to say why :)

Reading Wally Lamb is undoing isn't it? I feel like I really understand the fate of twins having read this piece of work....

So, did you finish THE BOOK THIEF? I really liked the book - the characters, the narrator, and what a tear jerker....I must have used half a box of kleenex in the last 50 pages!!!!

What is Book Thief about? Isn't it a Young Adult novel? Just wondering if I should read it.

Hi there, and thank you for the friend invite. I've just had a quick look at our books in common, and see that we both loved "Water For Elephants", and were left cold by "The Kite Runner" (I was the only person in my book club not raving about it, but I have to say his followup book is MUCH better).

Being 46, I can appreciate your comment about having only so many years left to read. And I'm already occasionally opting for large print at the library -- but only on books I'll be reading at home (a girl does have her pride).

Hehehe.. like your description about reading and getting old. I haven't yet listed all the books I own but haven't read but it will probably take me the rest of my life to get through them. Meanwhile, I have to live in a house packed full of unread books....

Thanks for the friends invite. I see from your shelf that you had difficulty reading Pillars of the Earth. I had been given that book by a friend who loved it and yet I couldn't get into it no matter how I tried.

The Time Traveler's Wife was good. I enjoy reading time travels; this one is unique. It doesn't progress chronologically, but the reader (along with the time traveler and his wife) gets tossed willy-nilly through time. Well worth the read.

I'm honored to be a book friend. Such fun seeing how other people reviewed the books I've loved and hated!

Hi. I feel the same way. Thats why I made up my mind years ago to put down any book that I was not enjoying...and lose the guilt over not finishing. I figured there are so many books in my finite lifetime that I'll never have the chance to read, why waste that precious time?!

Thank you for adding me as a friend. You have a diverting eclectic mix on your shelf, I'll have fun browsing! Viewing other people's bookshelves is my favourite pastime - I think it tells you all you need to know about a person. I'm relatively new so I'm still adding books. With a new home and two teenage children, finding time to read is SO difficult, I curl up in bed, open the book and I'm asleep before the end of the page...ho hum! Happy reading!

Hi! Thanks for the invite! I get stressed about books too-whenever I see books I want to read, I have to buy them right away because i'm afraid I'll forget about them if I don't! I have books piled everywhere!
