    Hi Saheli:
My grandmother came to live with us too. I called her Nana, and when my grandfather passed on, Nana came to live with us. It was so wonderful for me. I became quite close to her and she passed on in 1970. And I still miss her lots. So I know what you are saying about still missing your grandma.
You are right, I love my family very much, they all mean the world to me. And my grandkids just have me wrapped around their little fingers. LOL
My husband is doing well, thanks for asking. He is in the den watching the Dallas Cowboys beat some other football team. I am not a fan of sprots too much.
You sound very busy. So your schooling will be completed when you finish your exams? What is your degree in?
I am enjoying my new job, it does not pay very well at all but it is pleasant and part time and the people are all so nice. I just wish that they could pay me more. I tool almost half of my previous salary. Yikes! But I will continue to look for a job in a doctor's office. I am working at Hallmark now. Do you know Hallmark stores? They are awesome, they have the best smelling candles in the world. So the whole store smells so good.
Take care of your self, thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to write to me. You are a good friend.
Enjoy the Santa Hype... smile. enjoy your family during this time of year, especially.

Exam time is always so stressful. Take care and relax when you can!

Hey Lady! How are you and your family doing? Are you ready for Christmas? ( Do you celebrate Christmas?) I am looking forward to having all the family over for dinner and visiting with them all. The babies will be three this next year. Remember all three of my daughters had a baby in 2007 just months apart? They are such a joy.
I am praying that you are well and happy. I think you must be on a break from school at this time?

Hello there. I am doing pretty well, thank you. How are you doing these days?
I lost my job three months ago and my husband lost his one month ago. So we are slim pickin's at Christmas. But we are having a big family dinner and a good time will be had, just no presents this year. I think it is a good lesson for us all to remember what Christmas really means to our family.
I do have a seasonal part time job. I work about 20 hours a week for Hallmark. It is really a nice place to work, no stress and all the people are delightful. However they pay is minimal. Oh well. It is something coming in. LOL
Are you doing well with your studies? I trust that you are flying through with brilliant grades. Smile.
Thanks for checking in on me. I don't come here as often as I like. I forget. I am busy on face book but I still love to read, and I come here to post my new books.
Take care of your self, and let me know what is new in your life.

    Hello Saheli,
How are you doing? I know you must be very busy with your studies and all.
I just re-read the Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan. That is a great book. Then after that , I read the Road by Cormac McCarthy. Have you read that one? It is a great book, a really different style of writing. Took me some getting used to. He won the Pultizer Prize for it and it is #1 on the national bestsleller's list. It is about to be a movie too. It is a hopeless tale, and very sad. But it speaks of a father's love of his son, and the son's love and devotion to his father. The author discribes the posthumas conditon of nature and civillization to a tea. You can just "see" it before you as you read. You ought to give it a try, if you have not yet.

My favorite was A Thousand Splendid Suns... an excellent book. I am reading ( well re-reading) Joy Luck Club. That is worth a second read for sure. I read it years ago. So I remember as I go, not so much the whole story before hand. LOL
    Have a good week.
I will talk to you later.

Hello, Saheli! I am glad that you are enjoying your summer. School starts here in Texas next month. I can't believe how time flies by without notice until it is gone. ha ha.
I started reading a book that I read a really long time ago. Joy Luck Club. It is a wonderful book about one family and four ( as I recall) generations of women in that same family... a generation of mother daughter book.. it was an excellent read then, so I know it will be again. I remember it as I go, but don't recall what happens next. Smile.
Have a great week. I will be in touch with you more often. I enjoy our notes and I enjoy hearing what you are up to.
    Love, Maree

He goes back to the dr. on July 1st for his first post-op check=up. Until then he has so many strict limitations on his movement that he is getting to be a big pain in the butt. LOL I have to keep yelling at him to stop just about everything he tries. He is getting frustrated and so am I. One thing you should know in life is that men do not make good patients!

Sorry Saheli, I have not been here for a while. I am fine. Been busy camping and traveling a little. I went to Mississippi to visit my sister. Then yesterday my other sister and I went hiking... which did not work out because it rained all day. Ha ha... so instead we went to lots of antique shops in Corsicana, TX. We ate some barbeque ribs and chicken. We were gone 10 hours! Yikes. Lots of that was driving time though. We drove home, which is usually a two hour drive, but we took lots of back roads so it took much longer. We went through country where there are lots of cattle ranches and horse ranches. Saw some baby calves and some foals. So cute. And there are lots of wild flowers blooming right not. The state flower is the Bluebonnet, and the hills are covered with them. Really quite breath-taking to see.
    How have you been?
I am still reading my sister in law's book. Almost finished it last night. It is great, I have read another book in between too. I read Amy Tan's Hundred Secret Senses .. that was great. A slow starter for me, but then very intriguing.
Smiles across the miles to you my friend.
