I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE books. I am a BIBLIOMANIAC!! I love the smell of the ink, the crack of a new spine and the crispness of the paper. Writers are my "Rock Stars". I am married with two children, a new puppy and eight cats (I have early on-set "crazy-lady" syndrome). I love to hang-out at my "bar" (local Barnes & Noble or Boarders). I... more »

There are two ways to get there:

    or

Interesting! I had no idea there were others out there with a similar blog URL. Thanks for the head's up!

I wonder if you got me confused with someone else. I do have a blog but I haven't really written a lot of original stuff lately due to being so swamped with work. I am single with two dogs -- no hubs or kids yet. But I tend to agree with a lot of what you said about political beliefs. :)

Well, mostly by browsing through your booklists.... I saw you have one or two Koontz books; John Saul is in there; and it has to be said, quite an expansive collection all around. And I hang around in book stores all the time!

I wrote Catch, which is on my wall which is kinda like Koontz's Dark Rivers of the Heart, and am working on a follow-on to that one called Remedy. You know....bad guys...action...a bit of romance.... : ) Check it out, you might like it! I love writinga and read 4 or 5 books a month.

I am SO excited to read Madame Tussaud. I made a deal with myself to refrain from e-book shopping until the month of February is over, but I'm itching to get it as soon as the month is over. The Hangman's Daughter looks interesting. Do you think I'd enjoy it? We'll have to compare notes on Madame Tussaud in about a month!

I agree -- Room was very different and it was an interesting choice to have it narrated by a six-year-old boy. It was one of the best of 2010 in my opinion. I also loved The Help and of course Of Bees & Mist.

I have a Nook and a Nook Color. I love both of them very much and I'm so glad I have both, because it really helps to have an extra one in case I need to charge the other one. I agree; I would prefer to read on my e-reader now because I can take my whole library on the go. I just wish I could convert my DTBs into portable books. Although I am still in love with the smell of books and the feel of the page between my fingers. It's one of the things that will remain an old-school pleasure until they can figure out how to duplicate the sensations.

I see you just finished The Athena Project. Do you think it would be something I would enjoy? I am typically not a fan of any military/war books, but it might be more palatable with women characters. What do you think? I am reading Little Bee right now and really enjoying it. Have you read it?

Hi hun, nice to hear from you and happy belated birthday! :D

I know the feeling about the Kindle. I got an early Christmas present of one back in November. I've had to alternate between the two. I don't have as many as you, but I have just over 100. LOL! I love my Kindle though!

I'm working now. Just started the job 2 days ago (had 2 weeks of training before that) and my butt has been draggin. LOL!

Glad to hear you're doing well!

Hi and thanks for being my friend on Shelfari, I’m the Author of four poetry books about love-romance-life etc. If you are delighted by the two poems below maybe you will consider adding my four books to your shelf.

The World As We See It

The world as we see it gone
The world as we see it vague
    The world-our world
    Your world-my world
    God created.

The world as we see it
    No longer pure-safe
The world as we see it
    Wish to run-hide-escape.

The world as we see it gone
The world as we see it vague.

    The world that once was
    Free from sin-a world where
    Anger-hatred-lies to fall in
    The world that ate forbidden
    Fruit, that sends our
    Bones to hell
    Biblical verses of
    Old that still
    Prevail.

The world that we use to know
The world as we see it gone
The world as we live in it
    Vague.

    I Love you

I love you to the moon
I love you to the end of the planets.
I love you till there's no love in the equator,
I love you knowing nothing could be greater,
I will love you from now until decades later.
Let me love you now, not later.
    Let me love you to
    Northern skies,
    Western hemispheres,
    Without worries, fears or cares.
    Allow me to love you,
    Until you care, blossom up,
    Open up-heal from old wounds
that you suddenly, slowly start to share.
Our love is genuine-it can't compare.
Now your love has opened up wide
Like a brand new gift on Christmas day
See what happens when you allow
    Someone to love you.
