Christin

I love to read, obviously. Have ever since childhood when I would take weekly trips to the library to check out the latest Babysitter's Club book, which I'd be halfway finished with by the time we got home. Reading to me is an adventure and provides a way to escape. This is what our imaginations were created to do. Some of us have better... more »

Well, what did you think? You did see the movie right? I loved it. The only thing I would have changed besides the obvious (make it inot the 14 hour movie so the whole book coulda been there) was to take that wind chime sound out when they showed his sparkling skin.

Dear Christin: I am an author from Massachusetts. My debut novel HUNTING THE KING was published in April.

HUNTING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O'Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father, and after her mother’s death was raised on the campus of a Jesuit university. ForeWord Magazine says: "Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can't come too soon." Booklist compares HUNTING favorably to DA VINCI CODE.

To get a good sense of how exciting the novel is check out the heart-pounding trailer for the book on YouTube.

    Thanks.

There is an Anne group on here-don't know if your a member (only 5 of us), it seems the others are not really into keeping it up, but I would like to see it take off again. Has or will your library be doing anything for the 100 year anniversary of the Anne book?

I kinda thought when he took Edwards car and went to the park and tried so hard to find someone that maybe he would not be one to imprint, but still thought maybe she could be taking it there (to Renesmee). I knew the minute Edward was hostile when he and Bella came back from her first hunting trip to Jacob's test that was exactly what had happened. Have you seen the new TV spot for the movie?

Read your replies on the Twilight movie and came to check out your shelf. I completly agree with you that reading is an escape and fiction is a path into another world that can be very different from our real world. I find that some people are still suprised or even offended when fiction goes out on a limb (like many did for Breaking Dawn). I like how you put it...now I'm gonna go and peek at your shelf...
