I've been married to the same man for thirty-eight years. We met when I was just seventeen. He's my better half. :-)
We've lived in the foothills of Southern Oregon since 1980 and raised our children here. It's a great place to write. There's Godly inspiration all around me. I'm thankful to be part of the Lord's writing family. There... more »

In June of 1885, when Abigail Harding travels from her home in Vermont to the wilds of Wyoming, her intention is to be of assistance to her sister and then return home to her fiance and settle into a quiet, reasonable life.

As is often the case, our plans can be like dust in the wind. Abigail is in for more than a few surprises. Wyoming isn't what she expects and neither are the people in her life.

Amanda Cabot does a wonderful job of keeping readers guessing about the mystery in this story and wondering just who is the "real" bad guy. A good read all around. I highly recommend it.

I just finished reading Sarah Sundin's well written book, "Blue Skies Tomorrow". It's a wonderful story with some of the best flying and battle scenes I've ever read. The details are amazing and plant you in the scene.

If you love history, romance and World War II stories, this is the book for you.

The only reason I did not rate this five stars is that I had a little trouble with the female protagonist. I kept wishing she'd get hold of her strength and wisdom. She did, finally, but it took a while.

Still, this is well worth the read and I highly recommend it.

What a remarkable memoir. Jeannette Walls hides nothing as she opens the doors wide to allow readers to step into her life--to see and feel what it was like to be part of her dysfunctional, yet deeply devoted family.

"Fairer Than Morning" is a book to savor. As you read this exquisitely written story, the present fades and you are drawn into a tale of cruelty, honor, love and deliverance. When you reach the last page you close the book wishing for more. However, Rosslyn Elliott's characters will stay with you, forever embedded in your heart.

Ann Shorey's best so far! I loved this story! Ann's engaging style of writing and attention to detail drew me into every page. I fell in love with Luellen, a woman unwilling to give up on a dream. I rooted for her from the very first page to the last. I highly recommend this book!

I want to thank James Rubart for a fabulous read. I must admit that in the early chapters I didn't connect with the characters, but I was caught up by the puzzle, the house, the why of this story. I had to find out what was next, where it would ultimately lead.

Along the way, treasures were scattered among the pages for me to pick up and place within my own heart. And the more I read the more I cared about the people in this book. And I had to know where Micah would end up and what choice he would make.

I can't wait to read more of James Rubart's books.

My first Beverly Lewis novel. Truly enjoyed this story. I'll read more of her books in the future.

Another fabulous story by Ann Shorey.

This second book in the "At Home in Beldon Grove" series didn't disappoint. Ann's sterling writing and attention to detail planted me in every scene. I lived the story along with her characters.

Matthew and Ellie Craig are not paper doll cut outs of what Christians ought to look like. Ann presents real people who do their best to come to terms with the sorrows and challenges of life. They are not always successful, but God never wavers. It is God's plan that is laid out for these well defined characters and it is He who helps them find their way.

Historical fiction readers will love this book.

A fresh new voice in literature! Hillary Manton Lodge told this touching story with wit and humor, not to mention great skill.

Jayne Tate has walked away from her past, but is confronted by it in the most unexected place--in the midst of an Amish family. Jayne has a lot to learn about who she is, and life's lessons are never easy. Thanks, Hillary, for allowing me to be part of Jayne's journey of self discovery.

We have not heard the last from Hillary Manton Lodge. I'm eager to read her next book.

Plain Jayne will definitely be on my list of best reads for 2010.
