My partner and I live in a suburb of Dallas with our two dogs and cats. We're currently working towards the adoption of our first child. My parents and grandparents instilled in me a love of reading from an early age. I've always been an avid science fiction and fantasy fan. I'm an aspiring writer and so far have had two short stories... more »

    I'm actually surprised.

I recently played 4th edition, and despite my misgivings, it was actually quite fun.

Hmmm... We'll see about the quality of those add-ons. Towards the end of 3.5, the add-ons weren't quite as high quality (especially for the Eberron Campaign Setting), and there were very few new mechanics presented (here's your token three useless feats, some crap magic items, and two or three half-baked prestige classes...).

Wow, GURPS? I've heard that's a tough system. I'd be interested in hearing about the system, campaigns you've played, and any nifty memories you've got. Toss 'em up on our group page when you get time!

Personally, I'm quite excited about the release of Chaosium's Basic RolePlaying system this week. I'll probably be posting about it once I give it a read.

Hey? You still alive and kicking?

Have you taken a look at the new D&D 4th Ed. SRD? Any thoughts?

The Cherryh book is listed in the club so check it out. I started it and not suprisingly, it's really good. Cherryh is a damn good writer. Later, Bryan.

Hi Bobby, it's Bryan. Wondering if you decided to read the John Varley series. I'm gonna start book three tonight and so far, it's really good. When I finish, I'll make the next selection for the club, it's gonna be a book by C.J. Cherryh. If you havn't read her, she's very good. I've read "Cyteen" and "Downbelow Station" by her and those are some of the best sci/fi I've ever read. In the meantime, I've collected around 40 of her novels. Most are parts of a series, or a stand alone in her Mechanter/Alliance Universe. Later, Bryan.
