I am so in love with this series! This much anticipated sequel was brilliant in my opinion. The chemistry between Jason and Bella was off the charts and although my collection is quite extensive I didn't dare miss out on the opportunity to add this one to my shelves. This book was so hard to put down and Jason was true the the Westmoreland fashion that has us coming back for more! I can hardly wait for the next installment. Awesome job Brenda! It's one of my favorites!

    It sure was!

I was completely engrossed by this novel from the very beginning.

Sheridan Hart has an awesome life. She has her own business, a doctor for a husband and two wonderful kids. But, her marriage of 17 years to Quentin is coming to a close when he admits to her that he is in love with someone else.

Sheridan finds her world spiraling out of control when she learns that Quentin is claiming to love another MAN! How do you compete with that?!?

Quentin's confession has devastated his family and the Hart household is turned upside down as a result. Sheridan has to learn to adapt to the news, hold her family together and live with all the pain and woes of a love lost and single parenthood.

This one pulls at your heartstrings folks! Two thumbs up to Victoria Christopher Murray! Awesome read.

  • No More Drama
    • Rated 4 stars

Whew, I'm talking about nothing but...

No more drama had nothing but drama between the pages.

Tobias (Toby) Sims also know as DJ Terror is the oldest of two brothers and is trying to set a good example for his younger brother Terrell by loving only one woman, and taking his life and everything about it seriously. He has made mistakes in the past and has decided to settle down with Veronica (Roni) Black. During his engagement to Roni, a ghost from Toby's past come into full view for all to see and will he be able to deal with it?

Terrell is a bad boy making bad decisions. He has a good woman that only wants him but he has a love for the ladies and hasn't decided to give up the single life just yet. Terrell gets a bold slap of reality when he comes to the realization that he could lose everything he holds dear because of his bad decisions.

LaJill did an awesome job with this book and I can't wait to read other titles by this author. A little slow at first but, I recommend you read this one.

  • Before I Let Go: A Novel
    • Rated 4 stars

    Drama Loaded!

Cory Dandridge, narrator of this novel and best friend to the other two main characters in this novel has loved and lost. His first love has haunted him during the course of his relationships and ultimately caused Cory to date some women in situations with red flags all over them!

Brendan Shue is the nice guy in the bunch. He treats his women with the ultimate respect and consideration. Trouble is, most of the women he dates takes his kind hearted ways for weakness when it comes to women and takes advantage of his generosity and selflessness.

Nathan McCall is a DAWG! He feels he is the ultimate PLAYER and if you tell him any different well, then you're just hating! Nate will have to come to terms with his treatment of women and the boomerang of what goes around, comes back!

Awesomely loaded with the male perspective on relationships and women in general.
Great job by Darren Coleman. This was my first time reading one of his novels but it will not be my last.

    Well written!

We've heard it before. Never intervene in a lovers quarrel. Someone could turn up dead. And that is just what happened! Carmen Taylor of Belle Helene, Alabama has secrets that could raise the dead. Carmen's childhood friends Desiree and Chester are having an aweful argument when she tries to do what is inevitably in her nature to preserve and protect. Too bad Chester has been sworn to do the exact same thing as an officer of the law and at the hand of Carmen, now he's dead and Carmen's on the run!

This novel retraces the past between friends Desiree, Chester and Burl whose actions have always had Carmen enslaved to her relationships with them all for one reason or another. The author revisits their childhood and shed light on the situation that has left Carmen ready to lay her burdens down!

Brilliantly entertaining and awesomely written. Suspenseful and dramatic. Good read!

    Love and Marriage...

Marin is a beautiful actor who would do most anything to further her career. Her issue also include not having the best relationship with her mother Shirley. Shirley is the type of mother who calls it as she sees it even when her advice isn't wanted. Her quest for advancement in her career causes Marin to make decisions that leaves her life spiraling out of control.

Warner is the much respected pastor of his own church. Warner's family is supportive and a bit overbearing at times. His sister is just down right possessive even though she wishes for the best for her brother. On a visit to Warner's church, Marin and Warner's eyes meet and there was an instant attraction between the two. Warner believes that it is the will of the Father to wed Marin and he takes his marriage vows most seriously even though many obstacles stand in the way of their love. Warner endures much in this love story that supports the redeeming power of love and religious belief.

This is a well written novel that's similar to the bible story of Hosea and Gomer. Awesomely entertaining and thought provoking!

    Great again!

I eagerly awaited the opportunity to read this installment of the key trilogy. The first installment with Mallory Price set the tone for this equally awesome novel. This is Dana's chance to gain the key to free the sisters of glass and boy, was it exciting. The evil sorcerer Kane wants nothing more than to stop the ladies from getting those keys and he's decided not to take Dana for granted like he did with Mallory. He's not playing by the rules this time. In Kane's eye, all is fair in love and war! Great job by Nora Roberts.

Once a thief, well maybe not?!?

Dante Black has had a hard time of trying to make a life for himself. At an early age, he has a disagreement with his father in an attempt to protect his mother that set his life spiraling into chaos. Dante was forced into a life on the streets when he meets up with Scamz and reluctanly decides to work for him to feed and house himself. Dante and his friend Jackson encounters life threatining situations in hope of making a quick buck.

This story was well written even though it was hard getting over the fact that Eric Dickey negated to show the reader how Dante was able to transition himself from being a man of the streets to being a man of the books.

Dante's little love affair with Pam and the happenings between his friend Jackson's girlfriend and baby's mama gave the book the much sought after drama I craved. Overall it was a good experience. I recommend this book.
