My favorite reads are biographies/memoirs and classics. Anyone who has written even one book has accomplished much more than I have, and I admire the author's talent, vision, expression and hard work. I'm not much of a literary critic, so my ratings are simply based on my personal preference. Here's what my stars mean: 5 = books that changed my life, or those I missed terribly when I turned the last page; 4 = great books that have meant alot to me, or that I'd read again; 3 = great reads I'd recommend, but once is enough for me; 2 = something didn't suit me; 1 = wished I hadn't bothered. I have a wonderful husband and three very fun and active teenagers and am on the 10-year plan for a theology degree at Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, one class at a time. « less
