Hello, all!
I'm a rabid biblioholic. There's no other way to put it.
I'm an occasional reviewer and frequent contributor to Estella's Revenge.com. I'm a member of the National Book Critics Circle, but I can't say I'm all that active. Being a member keeps me up to date with the critics, and I also get to vote on NBCC winners. So that's cool.
I blog professionally for the North Suburban Library System (Chicago): http://blogs.nsls.info/thebook/
And I also maintain a blog at: http://bluestalking.typepad.com
Come check me out!
I work (my day job) at my local public library as the Adult Program Coordinator for the district. I also run a writers' group here.
At present I'm in grad school, studying for my Master's in Library and Information Studies, through the University of Wisconsin-Madison's distance learning program. Go Badgers!
Oh, and I write and read voraciously. In my spare time. I've published reviews, essays, author interviews, etc., all over the web.
I use Shelfari mostly for a TBR (To Be Read) list of books I find and would love to read. It helps me keep track of all that. My personal library is mostly at LibraryThing, though I haven't updated that in ages. Over there I'm "Miss Woodhouse.
Glad to meet you! Looking forward to making new friends and talking books.
Lisa
