“This book was recommended to me here on Amazon. For the life of me I have no idea what book I looked up that relates to this one. The cover and title seemed pretty interesting enough, but I didn't want to buy it. So I decided I would try and get a free copy on one of the swap sites. After a couple of days on my wishlist..BAM I get a hit and the book is being sent from the author? Wow!way cool huh?
The first pages of this book had me confused and I felt like I was playing a role on dumber and dumber, (me being the dumbest) I had no idea what was going on and I somehow sensed that either Andrew, Lin or I, or maybe all of us were high. I don't know if it was the talking animals, or the alien president. I mean you would have to be high to want to kill Elijah Woods (right)I am only saying that because well to be honest I had no idea who he was..but when I googled him his baby pic was cute enough for him to be spared. Ok..back to the book.
I remained confused for quite some time, and I at first I was going..this is so stupid, but I couldn't stop myself from reading. I kept thinking there has to be a plot and something big is going to happen. One of the reviewers made a good point though, maybe I am too old to read(and understand) this book, and maybe older readers won't get it, but for some reason the 20yr old in me was awakened and I think I want to read more from Lin.
I do want to say though while this book was certainly interesting, I enjoy his blog more. For some reason "I get it" ”
