I am a reader. I am a writer. That is how I see myself and how I will describe myself to anyone who asks!!! I gobble up books as fast as I can and am usually reading 2 or 3 at a time. I have to read--I am unbearable to be around if I have not done a little reading during the day; I even bring books to work to read during lunch! I am having a love affair with poetry these days (writing and reading) and have been "involved" with WIlliam Blake since I was a sophmore in college and had to read "A Sick Rose" out loud for the class. I was hooked--my professer seemed to know it would happen the second she asked me to read aloud. She told me (much) later that she had never seen me as alert in the four years she taught me as I looked when I read his poetry aloud--whenever I read it, not just the first time. I love him and am waiting for the day I an travel to London and visit the last remaining homestead of his.

I have a BA in English with a focus on English Literatutre and a minor in American History. In my spare time I read ANYTHING, write dark poetry (and some happy stuf!) ride horses, race go karts and hang out with my friends, none of whom understand what one of my friends calls "English Dorkiness".

I love to meet new people, especially people that love and treasure books the way I do. « less
