Hi! I finally believe I have my ducks in a row!!! I'm about to close a deal for a new Broadway show! I want to thank my finance, Ashley, for preparing an amazing dinner for tonight's big meeting. Check out some of the recipes she's preparing http://bit.ly/gJzABr!

No I have not, is there a specific novel I should start with. Does Rollins or any other authors you have read have any character series?

I've read all (as in one summer) of Goodkind's books. I've read T Huff and R Mcintosh. The Weis-Hickman books I started right after the first ones came out. I actually was a Dungeon Master for groups of Jr. High kids when D&D first came out. Still have all my manuals (1st ones) and dice. Thanks for the other names.

    Hi:
I have published three books on Amazon Kindle, Smashwords, B&N, etc., and would be delighted if you would add one or more of these books to your TBR list. If you could also write a review, that would be super.

The titles and links for the books are as follows:
The Ghost Of A Flea - Murder in the Big Apple
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003WQBD96
Quarantine – A sci-fi thriller set in East Africa
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ZSHNUO
The Watcher – An occult horror thriller set in New England
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0043GX1C6

Thank you for taking the time to consider my request.
    Have a great day.

Reading the Malazan series right now.. Hate it when I get hooked to decologies... Need to get out of the fantasy rut.. Suggestions for a 'normal' fiction, short preferably which would be pacy enough to wean me off are welcome.. Your shelf is interesting and I could do with some broadening of my vistas

    Thanks Bill!
I agree about holding the books, I just don't get the same sense of satisfaction from the e-readers. Perhaps I too will eventually go over to the e-side, if only to save shelf space :)

Hi FoD. I'm finding this sit a lot easier to navigate than the RR. There seem to be so many books on their database, even the really obscure ones! I'm rather excited! :D

Bill: Absolutely agree - Dirk Pitt is a pale shadow of Reacher (maybe a better swimmer but that's about it). Like Patterson, I find that Cussler is running out of ideas or they are ghostwriting him. The last Cussler book I read was Flood Tide but not really sure - I think it was last of the Pitt series. I'm reading some classic action Sci-Fi right now. David Drake is a good bet - his Lt Leary books are reminiscent of the Flashman book of bygone years. I've just finished "With the Lightnings" and am about to start Lt Leary Commanding.

PS: I haven't finished populating my bookshelf as yet - I'm only up to the Ds - that's why, comparitively, it looks like I've read a lot of Cussler books.

Ah well then, Bill. You know how odd those Surveillance folks get then... cooped up in a dark room with nothing but a zillion screens and a few other odd 'watchers' to keep you company!

The RR was certainly getting irritating. It was no longer pleasurable to visit- all I did was get angry and frustrated with all the spammers. No hopes of broadening your literary horizons over there, that's for sure- nope definitely in no danger of getting smarter hanging around there! Good to see you too! I think this will be fun here- looks like a great site here.

Yes and no. If you like the movies and you like to read I know for a fact you will love the books. The books are amazing. They do have a lot more detail to them and yes you do miss out on some of the plot. However the movies are extremely close to the books. But in cases like the Goblet of Fire the movie left out so much of the book and I found when I read the books the movies made even more sense.
