I actually sent you the invitation to "Women of Faith" because I am the admin. If you read the desciption it is very fitting... we read a book every two months, but the group is really just more about fun girl bonding... no major theological discussions here. I'm choosy about who gets to join because we don't want any fighting between religions etc. Why don't you accept the invitation and if, for some reason, you don't like the group, you can always resign. That's the easiest way to tell if you'll like it! ~ Amy

Hi again. I decided to post here, so folks won't get totally fed up with my "ravings" on the book string. It's obvious you are a solid Christian, so you will probably see the problems with The Shack when you read it. I will just say that it is full of remnants of Gnostic heresy which the Church has never completely been able to stamp out. It puts forth the idea that traditional Christianity, i.e. Bible based, is a cage from which we need to escape so we can "experience" God fully. If you love God's Word, and study it, then when you hear God admonishing or encouraging you, it will be because you know His positions from His Book. It's just really important that we always shield our minds with God's Truth and cling to the authority of the "faith which was once for all delivered to the saints."
