bibliophilemom

I am a mom to a rambunctious 3 year old, wife of six years, and I work part time outside the home in a variety of ways.

I would call my book preferences somewhat eclectic. I've been known to bring something home from the library based only on how the book felt in my hand or the texture of the cover. When I find something I like by an...more »

    Antonette,

Looks like I'm not coming up on the 23rd after all. Darn it! I'll only be in Granger for a couple hours on the 24th to meet my girlfriends 'cause our plans got switched around a bit. Maybe another time...And let me know if/when you're down this way again, too.

Enjoy the last bit of summer,

Glad you're keeping busy--tell Christina and Tracy I said hello next time you see them! Maybe I can hook up with you guys sometime before school starts next month--I can't WAIT for that! AYOP is next week from Tuesday-Saturday which is why I unfortunately won't be able to meet up with you and Shan (darn it). Gabrielle's individual strut and her corps performance is the 23rd starting at six and it usually takes at least two hours to get through all of the groups. It figures that we do nothing all summer and our one busy week is when good stuff happens.

Oops...hey Antonette! I meant that one below for Shan and was going to drop you your very own message, but I got it backward which has been happening a lot lately (especially at 1:45 in the morning). Anyhow, how's it going? You and Christopher doing anything exciting this summer?

I saw that avatar and had to have it--my daughter loves that song and walks around singing it all the time, but she says: I like big butts and I can't deny...my butt fries! And of course I crack up every single time. She is being raised on 80's and early 90's music, what other excuse have I for a butt singing daughter?

Hey, I see you've been meeting up with Antonette--I'd love to see you too!

I think I may be up that way around July 23-24. I'll definitely let you know closer to date! If I stay with my friend, Claudia, one night, maybe we could meet up again.

Got to read your blog. Hilarious! I've only read a few posts, but I'll be back to read more when time allows.

I wrote a review of Yoga Mamas. Thought it was so-so. A little too full of wealthy fluff for me, I guess.

Hope your summer is going well.

Hey there! I've checked out your blog but couldn't read any of the posts. I must not be logging on right or something? Your blog did lead me to another fun blog, however. Something about Moosh in Indy. I had a great time reading her stuff!
Hope you are doing well up North!

    Dear friend

I'm so after the book "red tent". unfortunately I couldn't find it in my country(Iran). so if you, by any chance, have the PDF format of this book, I would be thankful beyond the words, if you let me have it.

I don't even like Eric Clapton, but it was a really good book and even a better present for a fan. I highly recommend it.

All righty, let's have those nominations for our next big read. What's everyone in the mood for?

Post your selections in the "Genres" thread and we'll hash it out. If that takes too much energy, I will put all genres nominated in a hat and pick one at random!

Well, I've learned to knit and though I don't see any afghans or sweaters in the near future, I do think my coffee table will be donning a new coaster soon!

Oh, yes, definitely could use some good how-to knitting book recommendations!
Let's plan to meet May 9th at a bookstore. That'd be fun! Will you be in downtown Indy or are you staying with your cousin in Noblesville?

It would be fun to meet up! Let me know closer to date where you'll be.
My 7 year old has wanted to knit for awhile now. I found a teenager who teaches lessons, so we're taking our first class this weekend. Should be fun. Are you maybe talking about the Friday Night Knitting Club books or something like that? I've seen those. Are they pretty good? I'm not a picky reader. I enjoy lots of genres.

LOVE the last line of your profile re: scattering your ashes around B&N, etc. That is a true book lover's comment!
Thanks for your list on the reader's guilt post. I'll type it up and go in armed next time!

Have you read anything good lately? Was it you who recommended Friday Night Knitting Club to me? I picked it up then and am going to hopefully get to it soon.

Hi thanks for adding me, I found your profile so interesting and your bookshelf so varied I knew I would love to talk to you. I also loved your comment about having your ashes scattered so you can whisper your favourite books to buyers lol
I'm just building my bookshelf; I've had a while not reading much as work has been very draining for me and I was so mentally exhausted that I was having trouble thinking let alone anything else, but happily I am now in a trough at work for a while again and reading with a vengence, alas I am such a slow reader I shall have to be patient to build up my bookshelf!
