My shelf is a record of what I have recently read, and my thoughts about them. Instead of keeping track of it in a notebook, I thought this would be a more exciting way. Now all my friends and bookbuddies can see what I've just read and we can compare notes. What fun! And a big caution: there are spoilers in my reviews!

    “Great fun, perfect light read. Take Stephanie Plum and drop her in Chicago, running a one woman detective agency, and add in a huge family of cops, some of which have some questionable connections (I know a guy). While it is reminiscent of Stephanie Plum, Cat DeLuca is her own person, and this is a great read!”

    “not quite what i expected, but an ok story about the last surviving bookstore in america. there is a certain irony to reading a kindle book about how the everything you could want to read instantly streamed "gizmo" has caused the death of the printed book”

    “another terrific scarecrow adventure, this time set in the Arctic on a tiny island that the russians used as a lab to create horrible weapons. The army of thieves takes control and in comes Scarecrow, Mother, and the usual assortment of misfits to save the day. Some over the top stuff, but a fun thrilling read.”
